The lifeboat has had a busy week, with three of the "shouts" waking the volunteer crew at night. As well as working with the RAF rescue helicopter and HM coastguard on rescues at sea, the volunteer crew have also had to deal with hoaxers. Two holidaymakers who were rescued on Monday night called the coastguard with the story that they were again adrift in a fishing boat at 2 am on Wednesday night to watch the lifeboat launch from the shore.
