Three Peaks challenge yacht freed from rocks in Menai Strait

A YACHT racing in the three peaks challenge hit rocks in the Menai Strait this morning and was freed by the crew of the Beaumaris lifeboat. The rescue crews were called at 6.30am to the 35ft boat which was stuck in an area known as the Swellies between Britannia Bridge and Menai Bridge. The yacht which was carrying three sailors and two runners was taken to a boatyard in Bangor for repairs. from the North Wales Chronicle

Menai Bridge Scouts Walk from Moelfre to Beaumaris


The Menai Bridge Scouts have walked from Moelfre to Beaumaris last weekend on the Anglesey coastal path to raise sponshorship for the RNLI Moelfre and Beaumaris lifeboats.

The Scouts spent some time at the Stations learning about the lifeboats from crew members.
